US Monthly Hiring Update November 2025

Despite modest job creation and steady consumer confidence, the labor market remains cautious, marked by lower job churn and rising internal mobility.  According to ADP, the private sector added 42,000 jobs, driven by Education & Health (+25K) and Trade, Transportation &Utilities (+47K), offset by losses in Information (-17K) and Professional Services (-19K).  Pay growth held steady at 4.5% for stayers and 6.7% for changers, while the Chicago Fed projects 4.35% unemployment and Consumer Confidence eased slightly to 94.6 in October.
