What is the job placement process?
When there is a fit between your skills and interests and a job opening, we’ll invite you to go through specific screening steps, including a thorough interview. This information helps us better match you to companies that seek your skills and background and opportunities that fit your career goals. Once we find an assignment for you, we’ll make certain you’re thoroughly prepared for on-the-job success.
Does everyone get hired?
Our goal is to match the right candidate with the right job, which means we are selective in our hiring process. All of our hiring decisions are based on various factors, such as skillset, work history, career goals and cultural fit. When we are able to place the right candidate in the right company everyone wins. Not everyone will get placed, but you can be confident we work hard to find qualified candidates roles in which they will be successful.
If I apply today, will I go to work today?
As much as we would love to put associates to work immediately, we also want to ensure the right fit. Once you apply to Manpower, you will meet with one of our staffing specialists to discuss your background and potential opportunities based on your experience. Some clients have additional screening and hiring requirements that will also need to be met. This process is what helps our associates be successful on their assignment.
Do I need a resume?
Not all jobs require resumes, however providing a resume allows our team to better match your skills with available positions. Check out our Resources section for assistance on creating a resume.
When do I get paid?
Once on assignment, you will be paid on Fridays for your hours worked during the previous week. Timesheets are are due by Sunday at midnight, and any submission after the deadline may result in a delayed paycheck. Direct deposit is available for your convenience.
